We are interested in additional Linux experts to support the operations of our Ubuntu servers on Amazon EC2 that power our systems.  You will work with current DevOps team members to maintain our development infrastructure (Subversion, Nexus, Hudson, staging servers, etc), help grow our scalable mobile marketing production system and care for automated monitoring/repair/backups.  You should have several years of comprehensive Linux administration experience, as well as real development skills for mobile gaming.  This is not just a typical sysadmin position: you will be a member of the core engineering team, responsible for helping to safeguard the foundation on which our mobile marketing products are built.

Requirements:

• Linux expert (specifically Ubuntu or Debian)
• Web servers (Apache, Tomcat, nginx, Jetty, etc)
• Mail servers and protocols (Apache James, SMTP, IMAP, etc)
• Security (keypair SSH login, firewalls, SSL certs, SMTPS/IMAPS, etc)
• DNS management

 

Really-should-haves:

• Load-balancing and high-availability experience
• Automated monitoring systems (Nagios)
• Database management (MySQL)
• Version control system management (Subversion, Git, etc)
• Ability to write scripts in a language other than bash (Ruby, Python, etc)

 

Nice-to-haves:

• dpkg creation and apt repository setup
• Amazon EC2
• GSM/GPRS modems (sending & receiving SMS & MMS)
• NoSQL databases (MongoDB, CouchDB, Redis, Riak, Cassandra, etc)
• Continuous Integration (Hudson)
• Contributing to Open Source projects
